A lot of people do not know how to find various archives, or what information is held in those archives. The DrentsArchiefNet aims to help these people by presenting information about archives in Drenthe in a simple form on the Internet. We hope that this website will show you the way round the archives in Drenthe and stimulate you to visit them.
What information can be found on the DrentsArchiefNet
The website aims to give the titles (titels) and inventories (inventarissen) of all archives. An inventory will show you which archives you will be able to see or ask questions about. To actually see the archives, you will still have to visit the organisation where it is kept. This is why the site also gives you addresses (adressen), names of people to contact (contactpersonen) and opening hours (openingstijden) of the various organisations.
During your visit to our site, you may find that not all the inventories have yet been entered.
